Donovan Tate to Skip U.S. Army All-America Bowl
Posted Dec 30, 2008
Quarterback Donavan Tate elected not to participate in the U.S. Army All-America Bowl because of an emergency family illness. Tate was scheduled to spend most of the holidays in Indiana with an ill family member and did not disclose any further details. He is the son of former UGA football standout Lars Tate, and committed to North Carolina over Georgia and Southern Cal. “Although it is an honor to be selected for the game, I feel I must be with my family at this time,” Tate said.
