A reversal of fortune

An old problem for North Carolina resurfaced late yesterday afternoon, leading to a sudden turn of events that West Virginia used to win the Meineke Car Care Bowl. West Virginia won 31-30 at Bank of America Stadium in front of 73,712, the largest crowd in the game's history. North Carolina appeared ready to take control with 8:54 left after stopping West Virginia on downs at its 40, leading 30-24. But a fumble 35 seconds later changed the fortunes of both teams.
