UNC vs. Campbell Postgame Notes

• Mack Brown is 281-146-1, including 106-70-1 in 15 seasons as head coach of the Tar Heels.

• UNC has scored 30 or more points in 13 of its last 17 games.

• It was the sixth time this season UNC scored at least 40 points and the 43rd time since Mack Brown returned to Chapel Hill in 2019.

• It was the 26th time since Brown returned UNC gained 500 or more yards. Carolina gained 594 yards.

• Drake Maye completed 16 of 23 for 244 yards and four touchdowns.

• Maye has passed for 7,213 yards. He is the sixth Tar Heel with at least 7,000 passing yards and 8,000 total offense yards.

• With four touchdown passes today, Maye has 59 career passing touchdowns. He passed T.J. Yates for fourth in UNC history in career touchdown passes.

• This was Maye’s 11th game with at least three passing touchdowns without an interception.

• Since the start of 2022 Drake Maye has thrown 33 touchdowns and only one interception in the red zone.

• Maye has thrown at least one touchdown pass in seven of the eight games this season and 20 of 23 career starts. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in 18 of 23 career starts.

• Connor Harrell came on in relief of Maye and completed his first career pass. He also threw his first TD pass and scored his first rushing touchdown.

• Harrell scored on a 61-yard run. It was the first 60-yard run by a Tar Heel quarterback since Sam Howell against Georgia State in 2021. He also threw a 41-yard scoring pass to Chris Culliver (Culliver’s first career catch).

• Omarion Hampton rushed for 144 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns. He has 12 rushing TDs and 1,067 rushing yards in nine games this season.

• This marked Hampton’s fifth 100-yard game of the season and seventh of his career.

• Hampton has rushed for 100 yards in four straight games. He is the first Tar Heel to rush for 100 yards in four straight games since Giovani Bernard in 2012.

• Hampton reached 1,000 rushing yards in nine games, fewest since Giovani Bernard hit the 1,000-yard mark in eight games in 2012.

• Doc Chapman had two catches for a career-high 50 yards.

• Bryson Nesbit made a career-high six receptions.

• Deems May made his first career catch for 12 yards.

• Carolina has scored 37 times in 42 drives in the red zone this season. The Tar Heels have scored 26 TDs and have made 11 field goals when advancing into the red zone.

• Running back Kellan Hood rushed for 12 yards in his first game as a Tar Heel.

• Cedric Gray had a career-high two sacks and totaled nine tackles to pass Cole Holcomb for 10th at UNC in career tackles.
