Carter's punt blocks, Tar Heels' interceptions leave UConn reeling
Posted Oct 5, 2008
UNC's record for punt blocks in a season is four. Bracey Walker did that in 1993. And Bruce Carter has done it in 2008. But 2008 is something of a misnomer -- Carter really tied the Tar Heels' single-season record in three-plus quarters over UNC's last two games. After blocking a punt in the fourth quarter of UNC's win over Miami last weekend, Carter blocked Connecticut's first three punts Saturday night to help the Tar Heels stuff the No. 24 Huskies 38-12 at Kenan Stadium.
