Julius Peppers warms to leadership role, ready to atone for 2007
Posted Sep 5, 2008
Julius Peppers is never going to be a big talker, but there seems to be a greater understanding of his place now. Simply being the best player on the defense is no longer enough, though it earned him a captain's role last year. He holds the same title this year, but his approach seems different. "It means a lot," he said of earning his second 'C'. "It means I have the respect of the players in this locker room."
