Fred Sparkman's glad that he's going to TSU

The former Columbia Central standout, who left North Carolina after a tumultuous 2004 season, is going to resume his playing career at Tennessee State. Fred Sparkman's decision to go with the Tigers ends a nine-month ordeal that saw him go from being Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week to being indefinitely suspended by Tar Heels' head coach John Bunting following an arrest for a misdemeanor drug possession in September.
