At North Carolina, there's good news and bad news heading into the 2005 season. Don't bother asking to hear one or the other first, the answers are identical. The good news: The Tar Heels return nine starters on defense, the most in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The bad news: The Tar Heels return nine starters on defense, albeit one that ranked last in the ACC in total defense - allowing 447 yards per game - and scoring defense - giving up 32 points a game.
