UNC Defense Could Be Improved

For the first time in several years, there are reasons to believe the Carolina defense will perform in an acceptable fashion. Three of those reasons are named Marvin Sanders, Tommy Thigpen and Ken Browning. After spending a year as a co-defensive coordinator, Sanders takes the job alone this season. He is one of the most valuable assets in the Carolina football program at this point. As a former Nebraska player and coach, the man has seen big-time college football and understands what it takes to win.
