Backup QB spot trouble for Heels

Friday, August 26, 2005

While Roger Heinz's back surgery went well Wednesday, he won't be playing quarterback at North Carolina anytime soon, leaving the Tar Heels uncomfortably thin behind starter Matt Baker. "Maybe I'll draft (safety) Trimane Goddard. He played quarterback in high school," coach John Bunting cracked after Thursday morning's practice. "We're going to find somebody. It's just going to take some time." (Greensboro News & Record)
