Taller than most tailbacks at the time, Ethan Horton ran for over 1,000 yards twice at North Carolina, finishing his junior season with 1,107 yards and his senior season in 1984 with 1,247 yards. Horton was a two-time All-America (1983 & 1984), two-time first-team All-ACC (1983 & 1984), ACC Player of the Year (1984), and Patterson Medal winner (1985).
