Amato says beating Tar Heels bigger than winning a bowl game
Posted Sep 20, 2005
Wolfpack coach Chuck Amato said beating the Tar Heels is bigger than a bowl victory, like N.C. State's Gator Bowl triumph in 2003 against Notre Dame. Amato remained firm in not talking about the circumstances of last season's game, won 30-24 by the Tar Heels after a controversial fumble by the Wolfpack's T.A. McLendon near the goal line in the final seconds."Last year's over," said Amato. "I'm going to talk in Italian so maybe you'll understand. I'm not going to change my answer."
