Tar Heels' Baker doesn't give up fight

With 10:58 left in the third quarter against Louisville, Tar Heels quarterback Matt Baker went down with a sprained ankle. Needing a miracle to pull out a victory, did coach John Bunting consider keeping his offensive leader safely on the sidelines rather than risking further injury? Yes, Bunting said. But he wanted Baker and the offense to have a few more series to try and get something going. Baker went back in and directed an 11-play, 80-yard scoring drive.
