Tense ending for UNC
Posted Oct 23, 2005
Things certainly couldn't have gotten much worse. Instead, they got much, much better for the North Carolina Tar Heels, scoring a 7-5 upset over No. 23 Virginia Saturday at Kenan Stadium. A score more befitting a baseball game seemed a welcome relief for a team that lost to Louisville 69-14 the last time they stepped on the field. "This feels tremendously better," UNC's Trimane Goddard said. The sophomore free safety earned his first career start, with three tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
