Tar Heels hold on, nip No. 19 Eagles 16-14

North Carolina played the thorough, all-around game yesterday that Coach John Bunting had been waiting for all season, winning 16-14 win over Boston College to move one step closer to playing in a bowl game. Kicker Connor Barth escaped from a prolonged slump with three field goals and the Tar Heels' defense shut down the Eagles with the exception of two drives in front of 48,000 at Kenan Stadium in the start of a three-game homestand.
