Collapse mirrors Miami game

The scene and setting had changed dramatically. The 30,618 fans in the half-full Orange Bowl had been replaced by 65,115 roaring spectators in Lane Stadium. But for North Carolina, the on-field result against Virginia Tech almost directly mimicked its clash against then-No. 6 Miami on Oct. 29. After a first half in which the Tar Heels played up to the level of their opponents, everything unraveled in the third quarter. (Daily Tar Heel)
