Here are a few other notes and milestones that came out of UNC's 20-17 win over Duke on Saturday, courtesy of UNC Athletics Communications.

• Carolina’s margin in its four wins this season have come by four (South Carolina), three (Miami), 16 (Georgia Tech) and three points (Duke). Its four losses have come by a total of 12 points.

• This was the seventh time in eight games this season the game was decided by six points or less and the fifth time by three points or less.

• This is the first time since 2010 UNC has three or more wins by four points or less. UNC won four games in 2010 by four points or less.

• Linebacker sealed the win with a touchdown-saving interception (off a pass from running back Deon Jackson) at the 1-yard line with 18 seconds to play in the fourth quarter.

• It was Surratt’s first career interception. Surratt led UNC with 12 tackles, including a sack. It was the third-straight game Surratt had double-figure tackles and the fourth time this season. He shares the team lead in sacks with with five.

• Carolina had a season-high five sacks for 30 yards, led by 1.5 sacks each from and . Surratt and also had sacks.

• UNC rushed for 205 yards. It was the third time this season UNC rushed for at least 200 yards.

• UNC converted a 4th-and-4 from the Duke 13 on its final drive of the game. The Tar Heels are now 11 of 14 this season on 4th down.

• Freshman quarterback completed 10 of 26 passes for 227 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The 10 completions were the fewest of the season for Howell, but he averaged a season-high 22.7 yards per completion. His previous high was 17.1 yards against Miami.

• Howell extended his streak of games with multiple touchdown passes to eight consecutive to begin his career.

• Howell’s 22 touchdown passes are tied for sixth all-time with Maryland’s Danny O’Brien (2010) among ACC freshman quarterbacks.

• Howell’s 47-yard TD strike to was his sixth touchdown pass of 40 or more yards.

• WR hauled in a 29-yard receiving touchdown in the first quarter, marking the fourth-straight game he has caught a touchdown. He is tied for the team lead with five receiving TDs this season.

• WR notched his fifth receiving TD of the season on a 47-yard strike from Howell on the opening drive of the second half.

• RB rushed for 111 yards and went over 100 yards for the third time this season (144 vs. Georgia Tech and 102 vs. South Carolina) and in his career. His 40-yard carry in the fourth quarter was the longest of his career.

• DT recovered his team-leading third fumble of the season following a strip sack by in the second quarter.

made his first career interception in the final minute of the first half.

is the first UNC player to force a fumble, record a sack and come up with an interception in the same game since against Wake Forest in 2011.

• Place-kicker was 2 for 2, converting field goals from 34 and 40 yards. The 34- yarder tied the game at 17 with 3:59 to play in the third quarter and the 40-yarder with 7:00 to play in the final quarter provided the eventual winning margin at 20-17.

• Carolina leads the series, 62-40-4, including 9-2 under and 32-19-2 at home
