Miami Hurricanes begin ACC play with something to prove in pivotal early matchup at North Carolina

Chapel Hill is a place where winning never comes easy for Miami. In 2004, North Carolina stunned then-No. 4 Miami on a last-second field goal. UM lost in Chapel Hill again in 2007 and 2009, suffered a 59-21 drubbing there in 2015, and in 2013 and 2017 top-10 Hurricanes teams struggled with UNC, earning one-possession victories.
