Jay-Jay McCargo Medically Retires

North Carolina offensive lineman Jay-Jay McCargo will take a medical hardship and retire from football, a UNC spokesperson confirmed Saturday. The junior center, who missed four games due to injury last season, started six games and was projected to maintain that starting role this fall. UNC did not disclose the injury that prompted McCargo’s decision. (Inside Carolina)
