Bruce Carter hopes to add veteran presence for Falcons’ linebackers

It didn’t take long for the Falcons to put linebacker Bruce Carter back to work. The veteran was immediately put into special teams drills and covering punts in practice Wednesday. The Falcons waived rookie Dewey Jarvis to make room for the 30-year-old Carter this week. Carter, who was a second-round pick by the Cowboys in the 2011 draft, is a former starter in the NFL.
