No. 1 UNC Women's Tennis Beats USC 4-1 In First Round Of ITA Indoor Championships

The No. 1 ranked North Carolina women's tennis team defeated the USC Trojans 4-1 on Friday in the first round of the ITA Indoor Championships in Seattle. To begin the evening, and Carson Tanguilig won 6-2 on court two to give the Tar Heels the doubles advantage. The Tar Heels will face NC State on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. (GoHeels.com)

No. 25 UNC Men's Tennis Blanks Elon, 7-0

Patrick Schoen won the clinching singles match as 25th-ranked North Carolina dominated Elon, 7-0, on Thursday at the Cone-Kenfield Indoor Courts at the Chewning Tennis Center. Even with the ability to sign name, image, and likeness deals, UNC athletes face challenges if they want to sell merchandise. UNC defensive end can name a couple: the design an athlete wants, creating a logo, finding a website to drop merch, etc. The UNC NIL Store, launched Jan. 16, helps get athletes’ apparel aims off the tarmac.
