Ethan Albright, Reuben Davis lead Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame class
For the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame, 2014 is a good year for football. Twelve inductees for the Hall of Fame’s 10th class were announced Wednesday. Ethan Albright starred at Grimsley before a pro career spanning 16 NFL seasons. He holds an NFL-record 224 consecutive starts by a long snapper. Reuben Davis, another Grimsley alumnus, played 11 NFL seasons with Tampa Bay, Arizona and San Diego.
A half team nearly beat the Tigers
In the end, LSU's offense did look better and actually had a nice balance of run - 162 yards on 36 carries -- and pass -- 151 yards -- with a good completion percentage by Jordan Jefferson, who was 15 of 21 with an interception and a perfectly thrown 51-yard bomb to Reuben Randle for the 30-10 lead. But then it all stopped as UNC coach Butch Davis went to work at the half with about half a team, and LSU's coaches went to happy hour.
