Donnalley 'steps away' at Christian

Former Carolina Panthers lineman Kevin Donnalley has been replaced as football coach at Charlotte Christian, less than two weeks before the start of the season. Charlotte Christian headmaster Leo Orsino told the Observer Tuesday night that Donnalley "has stepped away." He would not give a reason, calling it "a confidential matter." Donnalley, 38, is a North Carolina graduate. He played on the Panthers' offensive line in 2001-03, the Houston/Tennessee Oilers in 1991-97 and Miami in 1998-2000.
