Five-star Liam McNeeley to take visits after Jordan Classic
Class of 2024 five-star forward
Liam McNeeley is being courted by some of the nation's top college basketball programs after recently decommitting from Indiana. Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan, and UConn have been in contact, per ESPN’s Paul Biancardi. The 6-foot-7 small forward will play in the Jordan Brand Classic April 21 in Brooklyn, NY. (

2026 Top-25 recruit Marcus Johnson commits to Ohio State
Marcus Johnson, one of the top guards in the 2026 basketball recruiting class and a Cleveland native, is staying home to play for Ohio State. Johnson committed to the Buckeyes over offers from Cincinnati, Villanova, Alabama, Oklahoma, Illinois, and others. According to the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings, Johnson is the No. 22 overall recruit in the class. (

Tyler Nickel To Transfer To Vanderbilt
Former UNC wing
Tyler Nickel, who played at Virginia Tech last season, has committed to Vanderbilt. Nickel averaged 8.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists last season for the Hokies after he scored 52 points in 150 minutes over 25 games as a freshman at UNC. He’ll play for first-year coach Mark Byington, who took over after Vanderbilt fired

Brandon Huntley-Hatfield averaged 12.9 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game. He was the Louisville Cardinals’ leading rebounder, and 2nd leading scorer. Virginia Tech lands Charleston forward Ben Burnham
The Hokies just learned of more good news for the 2024-25 Men's Basketball season when College of Charleston transfer Ben Burnham committed to play for Virginia Tech next season. A 6'7" forward, Burnham has one season of eligibility remaining. Ben has played a major role in the Charleston team since he arrived on campus three seasons ago. (
