Former Tar Heel Jimmy Hitchcock charged in Waxhaw shooting

A former Carolina Panther was charged with assault and robbery after a Sunday shooting at a home under construction in a Waxhaw neighborhood. Jimmy Davis Hitchcock, 37, who played with the Panthers in 2000 and 2001, posted $60,000 bond and was released from Union County Jail on Monday.
