Virginia Tech QB Josh Jackson's status resolved and he remains with Hokies

His Virginia Tech future uncertain for more than a week, incumbent quarterback Josh Jackson has been cleared to remain with the program, sources said Tuesday morning. Jackson started each of the Hokies’ 13 games last season as a redshirt freshman, helping them to a 9-4 record. On June 6, rumors began to percolate that Jackson was academically ineligible.
