No. 9 Virginia Takes Series From No. 1 Tar Heels, 9-2

First baseman Sean Doolittle drove in four runs on three hits to lead No. 9 Virginia to a 9-2 win and a series victory over No. 1 North Carolina Sunday at Davenport Field. The Tar Heels (41-11, 19-8 ACC) have dropped three of their last four games but still hold a one-game lead over the Cavaliers (41-11, 18-9 ACC) in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference heading into the final weekend of league play.
