Kicker Wooten is UNC bound
Posted May 22, 2006
Jay Wooten, a kicker from Laurinburg, has become the fourth addition to North Carolina's 2007 football recruiting class. Wooten is a 6-3, 190-pound junior at Scotland County High School where he plays for Coach Mark Barnes. Clemson and LSU offered Wooten grants-in-aid also, but he chose to follow three former Scotland County players who have joined the UNC program over the past four years.
