CH Regional notebook: Friendly rivalry

Monday, June 05, 2006

Winthrop's Chris Carrara joked beforehand that Daniel Bard would brush him back with the first pitch. He was close. Actually, Bard hit him with the fifth pitch. A beanball war in the making? Bard and Carrara played together at Charlotte Christian, helping their team win state titles in 2002 and '03. (Durham Herald-Sun)
