Cox Mill’s Leaky Black, Wendell Moore named to N.C. coaches all-state team

Cox Mill junior Wendell Moore is the 2017-18 N.C. Basketball Coaches Association all-state boys high school player of the year. Moore, a 6-foot-6 junior, averaged 25 points and eight rebounds this season. He led his team to a second straight N.C. 3A state championship and repeated as state finals MVP. Teammate and UNC signee Leaky Black was also a first-team selection.
