N.C. shuts down top-seeded Clemson

Robert Woodard waited a long time to get back on the mound for North Carolina. Appearing relaxed and refreshed, the junior right-hander was simply dominant in his first outing in more than two weeks. Woodard threw a three-hitter and shut down top-seeded Clemson's potent lineup 2-0 in the College World Series on Sunday night. "He was just masterful," North Carolina coach Mike Fox said.
