A 22-2 first-quarter run by Georgia Tech was the difference in a 79-61 victory over North Carolina on Thursday evening at McCamish Pavilion. Paris Kea scored a team-high 15 points before fouling out for the first time all season for North Carolina. Jamie Cherry had 12 points and Janelle Bailey notched her 10th double-double of her outstanding rookie season.
