Wherever the career of North Carolina baseball coach Mike Fox takes him, his heart will never be far from the southeast Charlotte neighborhood where he grew up four decades ago. But those years in the Lansdowne neighborhood, full of sports and mischief, were made even more special by a relationship Fox, 50, misses dearly. He is two victories from a national title and his father Lou, who died eight years ago, isn't in Omaha to watch.
