Trio of Tar Heel Midfielders Selected in NWSL Draft

Three UNC players found out their new pro destinations with the National Women’s Soccer League Draft on Thursday. Megan Buckingham was the first Tar Heel selected, as the Chicago Red Stars drafted the Michigan native with the 24th selection. The Houston Dash chose Abby Elinsky with the 30th pick, while the Boston breakers took fifth-year senior Joanne Boyles.
