A visiting player's historic game in Carmichael Auditorium: December 6, 1967

Kent State's Doug Grayson's day was done after 41 points and 10 rebounds, both game highs. But as Grayson stepped off the court, the crowd of 8,800 rose to its feet. The fans knew something he didn't about the best game of his life. The ovation signaled through a sold-out Carmichael Auditorium that the lanky forward had created a small ripple in the storied sea of Carolina Blue. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)
