Creator of Miami's "Turnover Chain" Previously Asked to Stop Interacting with UNC Athletes

UNC has had contact with the jeweler that created Miami's "Turnover Chain" and its experience wasn’t positive. Anthony John Machado, known as the “King of Bling,” was asked to stop interacting with UNC athletes in 2010 after the school said his “involvement with one of our student-athletes has led to the NCAA declaring one of student-athletes permanently ineligible.” (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
