This difference for UNC senior Brian Chacos is that even the hard work has been fun this year. The NCAA granted Chacos, a starting offensive tackle, a sixth season because of illness and injuries that he suffered early in his career. So he's thrilled at being able to spend another year in the program. "My freshman training camp I had an emergency appendectomy," Chacos said. "That set me back for a while. I've had numerous illnesses. The next year I had a knee (injury). I had a chronic ankle injury. It all added up my first two years.
