Nebraska transfer Jessica Shepard can play right away for Notre Dame

The NCAA announced Wednesday that it has approved Notre Dame’s waiver of junior transfer Jessica Shepard, making the former two-time All-Big Ten and Nebraska forward eligible effective Wednesday. Shepard thought she may have to sit out the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Notre Dame ded not indicate why the NCAA ruled that Shepard is eligible to play right away.
