Florida, Jim McElwain agree to part ways

UF officials and football coach Jim McElwain have agreed in principle to a buyout (originally $12.76 million) figure, but the paperwork has not yet been signed. What seemed inevitable Saturday became reality Sunday. Jim McElwain’s coaching career is over at Florida. The embattled coach and the school agreed to part ways Sunday, UF athletic director Scott Stricklin announced.
