Football players spend 12 months a year lifting weights, but all the strength in the world will not protect them against their deadliest enemy -- a searing summer sun. At Carolina, that job belongs to the training staff. Led by Dr. Dan Hooker, the trainers keep a vigil during preseason workouts. "I want to make sure nobody dies of heat stroke," Hooker said.
