Faith takes Jason Brown from football to farming, and to Peoria

The sweet-potato harvest at Jason Brown’s farm in North Carolina takes place in about two weeks. It’s a busy time at his 1,000-acre spread. But the former NFL offensive lineman was able to take a break to visit Peoria, perhaps to help grow his faith instead of crops. “We take our farm-food ministry very seriously,” Brown said after he spoke to hundreds at the Peoria Civic Center.
