Two years ago, Larry Edwards had taken up residence in coach John Bunting’s doghouse, his physical conditioning and a groin injury costing him his spot in the starting lineup. Last season, Edwards worked himself back into peak shape and went on to start all 11 games. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound senior is now considered the cornerstone of the Tar Heels defense and is establishing himself as one of the better outside linebackers in the country.
