Bronco Mendenhall is a deeply religious family man who says he tries to run a transparent football program. So it was a little surprising to hear the second-year Virginia coach acknowledge Friday at the ACC Football Kickoff that he was less than forthcoming last season on one salient point: the health of his quarterback.
