Mapp’s presence makes Heels better

Durell Mapp said he still feels pain in his knee from time to time, but not during a game. “Just the feeling of being out there helps me overcome any injury I have,” the Cummings High School graduate said. The Tar Heels are apparently better for having Mapp out there. The presence of Mapp and fellow linebacker Victor Worsley contributed to the team’s improved defensive effort in Saturday’s loss to Virginia Tech. (New Bern Sun Journal)
