Virginia Tech dismisses baseball coach Pat Mason after four seasons

Pat Mason inherited a Virginia Tech baseball program fresh off five consecutive winning seasons, a stretch highlighted by two NCAA tournament appearances. Unable to sustain that success, he was fired Sunday. The Hokies were 90-126-1 in Mason’s four years, 37-82 in the rugged ACC.
