Virginia Tech splits doubleheader with third-ranked UNC baseball

In his final home start in a Virginia Tech uniform, redshirt-senior Kit Scheetz held third-ranked North Carolina to four runs over six-plus innings and helped the Hokies earn a split in a doubleheader against the Tar Heels on Saturday. After UNC grabbed the first game, 9-4, the Hokies responded in game two by jumping out to a 6-2 lead and registered an 8-4 win.
