UNC Men's Tennis Earns Sweet 16 Trip With 4-1 Win Over South Carolina

For the fourth year in a row and the 11th time in school history, the UNC men's tennis team is headed to the Sweet 16. The ninth-ranked Tar Heels beat No. 20 South Carolina 4-1 Saturday at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center to improve to 26-4. UNC will play May 18 in an NCAA third round match in Athens, Ga. against either eighth-seeded California or Northwestern.
