UNC Softball Beats NC State To Advance To ACC Finals

Third-seeded North Carolina held off a late surge from NC State Friday in the ACC Softball Semifinals, defeating the Wolfpack, 8-7, to advance to the ACC Championship game for the first time since 2011 (Highlights). The Tar Heels stranded the tying run on third base in the top of the seventh to secure the victory. UNC improves to 38-18, while NC State's season ends at 18-38.
