Statement series awaits Clemson, UNC

Coach Monte Lee said this weekend is why his players come to Clemson. Beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m., the No. 3-ranked Tigers will be put to the test with a trip to No. 4 North Carolina for the highest-profile college baseball series in the country. “What a great challenge for our team,” Lee said. “We feel like we’ve got a good team. The tougher it is, the better we like it.” (Anderson Independent Mail)
