UNC win sent message


Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford opened the door for Miami to leave the Big East and join the ACC, but it was North Carolina that gave the Hurricanes their official welcome two years ago. The Tar Heels, a conference doormat then and now, stunned the Hurricanes with a 31-28 victory that sent a message to UM just how tough its new conference was. (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
