Luke Maye. Of course. Who else would hit the winner in this city? Not any of the one-and-dones, or the McDonald’s All-Americans, or the future lottery picks. The underdog. The kid with the chip on his shoulder. The player Roy Williams first tried to recruit as a walk-on. So the ball found Maye. And Maye found a permanent place in North Carolina basketball history.
